A postdoctoral researcher position is immediately available in the laboratory of Dr. Gino Cingolani (www.cingolanilab.org) at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). We are seeking a post-doc with research expertise in structural biology. Candidates with training in X-ray crystallography and cryo-EM are encouraged to apply. The candidate must be able to work independently and use software for Single Particle Analysis, de novo model building, and structure refinement. Experience in protein purification, vitrification, and cryo-EM data collection is desired but not required for this job. UAB consistently ranks among the top US universities and Birmingham is one of the best US cities.

REQUIREMENTS:
- PhD with training in structural or computational biology and/or biochemistry
- Experience with software for Single Particle Analysis, model building, and refinement
- At least one first-author publication in a peer-reviewed, international journal
- People’s skills and willingness to work in a team.
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
The minimum starting salary is $56,500 plus full benefits following NIH and UAB guidelines and may increase to $68,604 based on qualifications and experience.
